The Polish president challenged the status of the judges that the prime minister had just tried to illegally introduce into the judging panel to take control of the courts.
President Nawrocki quickly turned his plane around and returned to Poland. He knew exactly how things stood and what this ‘coup’ consisted of. He immediately went to the Constitutional Tribunal and – in the company of the First President of the Supreme Court – entered inside.
