Where and what is the “shocking twist”?

The really corrupt actor in all this is the sheriff who was in office when Avery was first imprisoned. He was more crooked than a bag of snakes. He was interviewed in the first series and admitted to targeting Avery but fully believed profiling without evidence was legal.
Two of his corrupt deputies planted the victim’s car on Avery’s lot and planted the car key in Avery’s home DURING a search.
This sheriff had only a few minutes of screen time in the first series because he threatened the filmmakers if they showed more than he liked.
That’s the guy who needs to be investigated.

It's ridiculous to consider the ring leader whose house it happened in didn't sexually assault her but the young nephew did.

I dont see how Brendan is still locked up. Even if he was involved. He was a minor and mentally challenged. After 20 years especially

Netflix proved just how easily the masses could by manipulated by choosing how to present information to them (and WHAT to present) with this "documentary."

Even after doing research outside of the netflix show (which very clearly has an agenda) I am still not convinced Brendan had anything to do with this. Steven, maybe, theres a lot of evidence that you have to prove was planted. With Brendan you have an extremely sketchy confession from a boy that clearly has learning disablities and seemed to only say what the police wanted him to say. This boy thought he was going back to class after this "confession" for crying out loud.

I don't know how anyone can trust anything when the local police were told NOT to have anything to do with the case because they were going to court on the false conviction the next week. Seriously?! WTF? Corrupt cops "finding" things "later".

These men need to be exhonorated and released. It was evident Brendan was coerced in the interviews. I think Steven was framed because of his lawsuit, which was quite formidible.

Biggest take from the case I noticed, well four actually.

The crime scene photos, the keys on the floor, one photo no keys on bedroom floor, then boom keys on the floor.

Cops lurking about from initial arrest for the grape.

the check point, cops walking in and out of scrap yard. Not signing in and out...

The blood was so obvious, that if he had done it, he (A) wiped it off or (B) crushed the car, not parked it on the outskirts of the yard.

Which would have been NG for me.

MaM was the biggest scam "documentary" I've ever seen. It's the reason you simply must research cases after watching one because not only was facts left out, they spliced audio from different parts of the trial together for their desired narrative. It's sad so many watched it and allowed themselves to be fooled.

They’re both innocent. This is a prime example of police corruption. They took advantage of these two intellectually challenged and vulnerable people and revenge against him suing.

Brendan's life has probably turned out better in prison, than it would have in that mobile home in a junkyard.

I’m not convinced Steve is guilty, or Brendan. Kathleen told Steve, “if you’re guilty, I will find out.” Steve has maintained his innocence for over two decades now. Kathleen was able to make a possible reconstruction of events with Bobby (and Scott? It’s been a while so I forget). Bobby also had a ton of material on his computer of deceased females. Kathleen and Steven keep asking for more testing, but are always denied - yet they continue to jump through legal hoops to move forward. I’m open to Steven being guilty, but I have always been more inclined to believe he is innocent based on lack of evidence and reasonable doubt.

Not to mention - Steven had just been exonerated and was about to win some money for being falsely imprisoned. Crazier things have happened but it’s unlikely he’d jeopardize that.

The police failed and the government continues to fail the families.

I don't think they did it. Not only because I watched everything on netflix, but because I dove deep into this online I. Seriously, think the police department framed them. And I don't wanna come across like a conspiracy. Theorist because that's definitely not me.

Steven Avery's case was also one of the very first big cases to take place after social media began to really takeoff, which made a small local case go nationwide overnight.
emilyperkins9947
@emilyperkins9947Imported14h ago
I originally thought MAYBE there was someone fishy about all of this... The case against Brendan Dassey is extremely questionable... Then I REALLY started looking into this and I truly believe Steven Avery is guilty. His nephew....he did something, but not necessarily what he confessed to. Either way, he participated in something. Netflix only told MAYBE 1/3 of the story.
ralphiecifaretto8961
@ralphiecifaretto8961Imported14h ago
You know what, he probably did it. But that's not even the point. That Police Department was out to get him and they weren't supposed to be involved in the investigation. Everything they touched is tainted evidence. The case needs to be thrown out and there needs to be a new trial. PERIOD.

Yall would really have us believe that whole departments haven’t been caught being corrupt?? There was too much reasonable doubt in this case and they deserve a new trial. Brendon was used to nail SA and we could all see it. 😒

3:28 He definitely wasn’t charged in November 2025.

There was too much funny business going on with the county. They searched the trailer multiple times and didn’t find the key but when the cops who weren’t allowed in there, went in there, they found it?
