It looks like the bottom floor collapsed first. These are the supports that had the most mass on them. The collapse could have been caused by poor quality concrete being used in construction.

As a Kenyan this is very concerning. From building collapses, lack of effective Ebola screenings at the airports to even a shortage of milk. The only thing our government is effective at is charging us taxes!
