Fujairah and the UAE east coast are not magically safe from drones or missiles. Houthi forces hit Saudi Aramco's Abqaiq facility with drones/cruise missiles in 2019 from over 500 miles away, and tankers off Fujairah were attacked by limpet mines that same year. Range and reach are not the limiting factor for these weapons anymore — distance from Iran or its proxies doesn't confer real safety.

Good idea. It will be difficult or next to impossible to execute without bankrupting the Countries economy. Furthermore, any private entity that tries to sponsor the effort will quickly realize the cost to build this crazy idea has a price tag that has never been seen before. If built, it would join one of the wonders of the world in my opinion. However, I think the logistics alone will kill this project before a shipping container has the chance to make it to the other side. By the way, how’s that line coming along?
