Global Privacy Control: your browser is sending a GPC signal, so Analytics and Marketing stay off while it is on — even if you previously accepted them.
NecessarySession, feed security nonce, admin sign-in persistence. Always on.
PreferencesSeen-video list, recent categories, row preferences. Remember what you watched and browsed.
AnalyticsGoogle Analytics (GA4), run by Google, to measure traffic — it loads only if you allow this category — plus a first-party visitor id, A/B assignment and first-party viewing measurement used to test feed changes. Turning this off also deletes Google Analytics cookies already set.
MarketingThird-party ad tags and slots, only when an admin enables them. No marketing cookie is set by default.

You should certainly be able to ask for id

Hosts did this to themselves (as a whole). Air BNB overcorrected because all of the connivence factors that made consumers select air bnb over hotels were overtaken by outrageous host demands.
Collecting my dishes and starting the dishwasher doesn’t seem crazy to me, but I had a host ask that I wait for the dishwasher to complete and then put the dishes back. That’s a 2+ hour process, all considered. Bogus

The disconnect is crazy. Guests want to feel like they've booked a homy hotel. The hosts want people to act like they're visiting and have been graciously allowed to stay in their homes.

I'm on the side of the guest. If you're paying money to stay somewhere, you should get treated as if you are a paying customer, the same way you would in a hotel. You don't have to clean up in a hotel; they clean up for you. That's included in the charge. You don't have to wash your dishes. That's included in the charge. Although if you don't wash the dishes, you're kind of nasty, but that's not my place to judge.

Hosts can eat shit. They're the reason i just get hotels now and stopped using Airb&b and it sounds like im not the only one.
