Did Singapore conspire with global index provider MSCI to crash Indonesia's stock market? Indonesia's former deputy foreign minister Dino Patti Djalal rejected this claim as "nonsensical and far from the actual reality".
The conspiracy allegedly started when the country's former trade minister Muhammad Lutfi accused Singapore's state investors GIC and Temasek of trying to bring down Indonesian stock prices so that the firms could snap them up at a discount. #indonesianews #indonesia #sgnews #singapore

Witch hunt ?<br>Hope Indonesia doesn’t go down this path, it took Indonesia years to gain back market trust which could easily be destroyed by a few irresponsible people

Seriously as an investor, I don’t even bother to look at their high risk low return stock market, let alone buy or sell.

Wow… Sounds like the Trumpian vile and odious dipshittery has spread eastwards. I love Indonesia and my dearest Indonesian brothers and sisters. I came from Indonesian blood. But this kind of bold faced lies about my government and my country is disgusting. Get your house in order and stop blaming others.

Shame on you Dino, don’t you see Singapore is protecting the corrupt Indonesians and harboring their money.

This is from the playbook whenever there are domestic issues and unrest and the govt will try to distract people by using a bogeyman from abroad. Many countries use this method on different levels, and extreme level even start wars.

May be it is tug-of-war between Prabowo vs. Jokowi. And Sg was the straw man. LOL

Feeling incompetent? Don't worry just accuse your neighbors of conspiring against you. Easy!

please do you think MSCI will do such thing for singapore? MSCI is a independent entity. If a country economy is stable enough its will not be worry about any external factor to cause the Exchange to Crash. Do not claim anyone just because you or your companies/ your countries are not able to withstand external impact factors.
