Don't know why they say that the creation of jobs will be particularly beneficial to scotland because the majority of jobs will not go to scottish people.
Use any extra money for a wealth fund not existing spending

Good news for two subtle reasons: it solves the tax question… they will get additional funds from these fields. They can then use the wealth fund to prop up future state pensions (even though they claim it’s for green transition)
All the gas they extract from this could supply all our gas needs in UK for 6 months. 😂 Or about 6% for 11 years.
Don't expect your gas bills to come down because they won't!!!
Great! We can stew in our own juice even quicker now. Embrace extinction, you know it makes sense. <br>Look, I am not being flippant or facetious. It is not just us in the UK. The world really cannot escape its addiction to fossil fuel. It has got us over a barrel. We know what the consequences will be, but we can't stop.<br>We crossed the Rubicon and opened Pandora's box at the end of the 18th C, when it was realised that the heat generated from coal could be harnessed to do mechanical work. It could augment or replace muscle, water, wind. It facilitated a boom in production and in the exploitation of natural resources.<br>We humans have built and populated a whole world on the strength of that. We cannot let it go. We are totally depended on machines that burn fossil fuels to maintain the whole economic model that this world depends on. We know the consequences. We can't stop.
