You will pay more for fuel from midnight after the Energy and Petroleum Authority announced higher pump prices citing higher landed cost of imported petroleum products due to the escalating Middle East conflict that put pressure on production and shipments. A litre of super petrol has been increased by 12 shillings and 93 cents, diesel is up by 9 shillings and 90 cents while kerosene saw the highest upward adjustment of 28 shillings and 49 cents. The pump price review came after the National Assembly voted to retain lower VAT on petroleum products at 8 percent.
