U.S. wars in Libya, Iraq, and Syria were costly and futile—major strategic blunders—because they failed to deliver the expected stable democracies, claimed hundreds of thousands to nearly a million lives, caused the collapse of local state structures, triggered migration crises into Europe, and fueled the rise of new extremist threats (such as ISIS),
<br>while also tarnishing America&#39;s image as a champion of freedom and democracy.

Just like in Andor -- they start the violent part of the protests themselves, so they can have justification for mass murder. Remember, &quot;I have friends everywhere.&quot;

Nothing new was revealed, it is all the same story DW has reported before. I was expecting some thing like is there a new Supreme leader running Iran or not. Instead some story by spy defected to Germany, very disappointing

How they keep their regime in power? Lack of a Bill of Rights. Lack of a Constitutis son, and coersion. That and lilly livered &quot;NATO&quot; partners. If our &quot;partners&quot; did more than farm out &quot;news&quot; stories to left wing journalists and kicked in like a strong country with a spine.

Two defectors describe a system that controls not only Iran’s opponents, but also the men tasked with suppressing them. Which finding in DW’s investigation tells you the most about how the regime holds on to power?
