Sorry are we just ignoring the fact that historically the US has never come to any NATO countries defense where every other NATO country has come to the US's defense? That on the world stage Russia is Europe's only enemy where when we're allies with America, the whole world is our enemy. Not to mention Russia specifically mentions us as its main antagonist. So without the US, Russia might also kind of become not an enemy of Europe. I get that the US provides a lot of intelligence to other NATO countries and that is a great benefit, but that literally seems to be the only benefit.
