Eight public service officers have been referred to the police after a review of 191 officers' property transactions, Coordinating Minister for Public Services Chan Chun Sing told parliament on Tuesday (Oct 6).
He addressed MP questions on a study linking public servants to property purchases near unannounced MRT stations.
Mr Chan stressed that the referrals to police do not mean wrongdoing has been established. He said police will investigate independently, and due process will be followed.

Is anyone surprised actually? People join public service for the perks, such as WFH, ease of taking childcare/paternity leave without judgement from managers/colleagues, now, privileged info 😅

Already so highly paid and yet want additional benefits from their public service appointment. Just like the clowns who rent government bungalows then had public funds spent on landscapes of those bungalows' compound. Top is crooked then bottom bent

Why do we need an outsider to report before we can action? What are we doing? Getting too high pay sleeping on the desk...?
