US President Donald Trump has warned Iran it could face "annihilation" without a US deal over the ongoing conflict, although he said he believed an agreement would be made after US mid-term elections in November.
Trump said UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham is a man he can do business with as they met for the first time in New York.
But he criticised the UK's plan to hand sovereignty of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius - the islands which are home to a joint US-UK military base.
Trump also met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines.

A dementia addled narcissist, his son-in-law and a salesman trying to make a deal with Russia... almost sounds like the beginning of a bad joke or the end of a great country.
The BBC serves their American Master as per usual. Everything has to revolve around the US.
What about the Iranians at the UN General Assembly BBC???
President Pezeshkian showed books of all the people/famalies murdered by the the US & Israelis during their illegal war of aggression on Iran.
But the BBC continues to give their platform to their murderer Master 🤫
We are Republicans from the USA; yesterday, we were completely shocked by our President and his Constitution, and we have spent the entire day in ashamed silence about it. Just like the BBC? However, we believe and hope that some media outlet will still bravely mention what actually happened today.
Why is media so obsessed with what Trump had to rant. Cover what was said by more matured leaders like Carney, Lula, Takachai and others who talk sense.
Here's the highlights:
- Me, me, me ,me
- deal, make a deal, no deal, it's a deal
- fake news is everywhere
- tariff, tariff, fart
I am a psychologist and I want to help you for free because it is good for me. I read the news and I despair because I have the solution. First humanity has to learn God exists. Let's dedicate all the time necessary to figure out thinking thoroughly if we are created or not. Two minds think more than one. Why the atheist logical fallacy is censored?. Atheism is a logical fallacy that assumes God is the religious idea of the creator of the creation to conclude wrongly no creator exists because a particular idea of God doesn’t exist. If religion is false doesn’t make atheism true. Ignorance is the mother of evil. Would a child refuse to learn why God exists?. Knowledge will light your journey in life. It is never too late to learn and improve oneself. How is it possible that Spinoza couldn't end atheism?. Spinoza's God has not been debunked and humanity is still debating if God exists. Why I am not allowed to participate in the Nobel Prize contest?. Censoring is the opposite of searching for the truth. I need a chance, I need a change. Thank you.
Today’s problem with the BBC is their political bias. One simply cannot get to the truth of the matter with news readers putting their spin (bbc spin) on what is said. The viewer is now forced to go to European outlets of true news channels in America to get an idea of what is truly the case.
Trump publicly slow walking USA towards more war crimes without shame nor fear of consequences. Unconscionable. This is not coercive diplomacy...it's the pre-announcement of war crimes.
