Só amazing, Im from Angola, and Im eager to lear lingala.
Thank you so much for the class! If is really helpful!

I have some questions, if anyone koki kosunga ngai, I would very much appreciate!

1) Are Nazo, ozo,... just subject pronouns like ngai, yo, or are they prefixes na- o-, combined with some stative or neutral verbal root? Can I say azo, ezo, tozo, bozo, bazo?
2) Is yoka an adverb (invariant) or is it part of a verb? I see it can mean feel or hear, but does it mean it or does it just transform a stative meaning (being) into feeling/hearing?
3) To which part of the day "pokwa" exactly correspond? Does your wish regard the same part of the day you are in the moment you wish or a future part of the day? By "evening" you mean a part of the day it is not dark yet, or the whole afternoon? And does butu include the whole part of the day one sleeps (after midnight)? In Angola I believe they say "nsima ya nzanga" for afternoon
4) Is -ngo present in forms like bongo, yando, bango, the same suffix with some meaning of "this" (this way/so, this thing, these people/they)?

Matondi mingi for any clue!

By 2039, lingala wil be in 15th the most spoken language in the world . By 2075, it will be in 12th after urdu. Lingala language is really great language. If you know how to speak and understand spanish, arabic, urdu, hindi, tagalog, bahasa indonesia, malay or any sister language, you will not find difficuty to pronounce the words. Polyglot will find it easy and fun especially it is mixed with french. That's my review after 10 minutes watching this video.

Can you tell me what the phrase Lela Lela means? I have been listening to the music of Kanda Bongo Man and I can't get the song "Lela Lela" out of my head! On this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76VFiJsFIcc there is a subtitle that says "Let's laugh till we cry". Does that make sense to you? The reason I am asking is that I am thinking of naming my new puppy either Lela or Lela Lela and I want to be sure I understand what it means. Thank you so much for your help. Botondi!

Wow, it's been a while! The 100 most used words/sentences. So Lingala is also spoken in the Congo Republic right? Oh I was not aware of that at all. I am a Portuguese newly qualified teacher. I know that Portuguese is spoken in a lot of countries of Africa including the central of Africa. I was thinking Congo Republic also speaks Portuguese, right. Congrats and thanks for the info.
