So much for backing the blue, huh? I’m kind of disgusted by the way these anchors are attacking law enforcement and the campus for this. That we would need drones and massive police presence at every event speaks to a wider failure in our country. There are shootings every day all over the country, and we all deserve to feel safe and secure. You can call the failure to keep Kirk safe negligence, but the fact is that we are all living with these fears of safety in our schools, places of worship, shopping centers, etc. each and every day. We have a big problem with violence in this country. Pinning that all on the police chief is absurd. One could just as easily be outraged by the failures of Turning Point here, but that too is probably unkind and unfair. None of those folks wanted this to happen. None of this blame is going to help to properly address the issue of gun violence.
