Child Protection | 12-year-old boy commits suicide

Last week, a 12-year-old boy allegedly took his own life after reportedly being left alone to care for his 4 year -year-old brother in Verulam, Durban.
Neighbours claim the children were frequently left unsupervised and showed signs of ongoing neglect.
Local security services say child abuse and neglect cases are becoming increasingly common in the area.
