Of course he was. Are we really to believe that the most surveilled piece of land in the world watched by the paranoid state of Israel somehow organized and executed an attack without anyone noticing it. No way.

I have always had doubts about what happened on October 7. I remember there was a report, some months before October 7, suggesting that Netanyahu was facing a major corruption case and that the opposition had a strong possibility of winning the next elections. The claim was that, if the opposition came to power, Netanyahu could potentially face prosecution and even imprisonment.

Then, on October 7, around 1,000 Hamas militants were able to carry out a large-scale attack involving vehicles, weapons, explosives, paragliders, and other equipment. What I find particularly difficult to understand is that an operation of this scale would presumably have required significant preparation and the gathering of personnel and equipment well before October 7—not just a few hours or even a day beforehand.

Israel has one of the world's most advanced intelligence and surveillance systems, yet it apparently failed to detect or act on the preparations for an attack of this magnitude. There were also reports of warnings and intelligence indicators before the attack, although exactly what was known, who knew it, and how those warnings were interpreted remain matters of dispute and investigation.

That is what I find difficult to understand. I am not claiming that this proves there was a deliberate conspiracy, but the combination of the political circumstances, the reported warnings, the apparent preparations well in advance, and the scale of the intelligence failure raises serious questions for me about how October 7 was allowed to happen.
So he knew? He used this to come to power?
Dispecable!

It is difficult not to question whether Netanyahu’s political and legal situation has influenced his approach to the ongoing war. He is facing a corruption trial while also dealing with intense political pressure over the security failures surrounding the October 7 attack and the wars that followed. Some critics therefore argue that continuing the conflict could serve his political interests, including helping him maintain his position, but that should be treated as an allegation rather than an established fact. What deserves serious scrutiny is whether decisions about war and peace are being made primarily for Israel’s security and the protection of its people, or whether political survival has also become part of the calculation. When a leader is simultaneously responsible for major wartime decisions and facing serious political and legal pressures, transparency and independent scrutiny become especially important. Ultimately, the public deserves to know that decisions affecting countless lives are being made for clearly stated national and humanitarian reasons rather than personal political considerations.

Yes he was. We knew this in 2023. Egypt directly warned them that a massive Hamas attack was coming. IDF platoons saw the preparations. The UAE warned them. Two Arab countries tried hard to prevent Oct 7. Israel not only ignored it, but facilitated the Hamas attack. They withdrew security from the border, and that even surprised Hamas.
