An interesting thing to note - where I live, I've not seen a single political ad this season where any of the candidates mention their party from either side - whether it was paid for by DNC or RNC is in small print at the bottom of the screen at the end of the ad. The only one that's actually prominent and well know actively has a statement that they'd pushed back against their party. It's really just a matter of one flavor of toxic or another...
