A Durban family is clinging to hope that their daughter is still alive somewhere in Nepal.
Thirty-three-year-old Terricia Govender is among six South Africans reported missing after catastrophic flash floods swept through areas along the Nepal-China border.
Govender had travelled to Nepal last Thursday to celebrate her birthday and embark on a religious pilgrimage.
But what was meant to be a journey of faith and self-discovery has become a desperate search for her whereabouts.
Senior reporter, Taliesha Naidoo filed this report.
