Sport Minister, Gayton McKenzie, has committed to honour the legacy of slain two-time boxing world champion, Zolani Tete.
He was speaking at the memorial service in the iconic Orient Theatre in KuGompo City in the Eastern Cape, where Tete was expected to make his long- waited return to the ring in November.
McKenzie has instructed Boxing South Africa to provide a plan on how they aim to keep his name alive, and revive the sport in his honour.
Tete was shot dead outside his Mdantsane home last Friday.
