Madlanga Commission | 'Mr Matlala, I will not accept blanket references to your 204 statement'

Justice Madlanga has insisted that Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala disclose why responding to any question could potentially incriminate him.

Earlier, evidence leader Advocate Mahlape Sello told Matlala that he could not use a Section 204 affidavit to avoid answering questions.

The commission is examining the balance between the invocation of Matlala's self-incrimination rights and its mandate.
