I think that the huge uncertainty in the world will push this along. Canada needs defense capabilities and other technology. Europe will need access to secure minerals, fuels, food, and other resources in the future. China isn't slowing down it plans and the u.s. is untrustworthy due to division in its society. That isn't going to change.

This so new, and happening very quickly so it is understandable that their is some hesitancy all around. The important aspect here is that we are witnessing the birth of a unity of nations, friendship, and cooperation beyond what we have enjoyed in the past. Other countries like Australia and Japan have expressed interest in participating as well. This is the start of great things.
