I propose that Singapore unite with Indonesia under a one government, two systems framework much like the arrangement between Hong Kong and China.

This would allow Indonesia and Singapore to dominate on the global stage, rivaling powers like China and the United States.

Singapore needs to join Indonesia so that the future of its people does not remain in a state of stagnation.

By joining the Indonesian government, we could negotiate to retain our existing systems mirroring the model used by Hong Kong and China.

This would enable the people of Singapore and Indonesia to unite and collaborate, combining our respective strengths to become the world’s number one power.

Furthermore, Singapore would no longer need to depend on other nations for energy and food, as it would be supported by Indonesia much like how Hong Kong is supported by China, freeing it from concerns regarding energy and food security.

Geopolitical and diplomatic tensions have reinforced Singapore's strict adherence to its own rule of law, with the trade-off being a greater reliance on energy sources farther afield and at increased expense.

A minister recently declared "we will never let the lights go out," but that bare-minimum standard misses the real target. The true bottom line for average Singaporeans is very simple: we want electricity and energy to be affordable, and we expect basic energy security without having our cost of living driven through the roof.
Pushing expensive alternative energy options like going green and biodiesel inevitably leads to unnecessarily higher energy prices. This focus seems misplaced when major global economies still heavily rely on coal to keep costs down for their people, making localized cost burdens completely pointless on a global scale. Pursuing these costly initiatives looks like institutional vanity funded entirely at public expense, with no tangible and measurable climate improvement to show, serving primarily as a mechanism to justify aggressive carbon taxes and chase theoretical net-zero targets through creative mathematical accounting.
The current governance approach relies heavily on an inflationary growth model where GDP figures are continuously elevated to meet performance indicators. But let us be absolutely clear: GDP measures overall spending, not the actual take-home earnings of regular citizens, nor does it represent the true prosperity or happiness of the nation. When policy stays locked on propping up macro numbers, expecting daily necessities to remain reasonably priced usually turns out to be wishful thinking.

Realize that your land is small. If you want to build solar panels, you won't have the space to do so. The only way would be to build them on the territory of a neighboring country—and, naturally, in the wake of these tensions, that neighbor will think twice.

Sunlight is our only reliable natural resources of energy, make good use of it and please don't keep saying is too small to make significant impact. If I can just hang a 800W (roughly 2 panel) plug in system, connect either to buyback grid or simply home usage at my balcony just for the day of 3 - 5 h sunlight, I could already save half of my electricity cost, is that simple. If we use lightweight flexible solar panel, I can hang even more area beside balcony. EMA should start making schemes and legalise for easy standard safety deployment for all household regardless of where you stay so that if there is national power trip, we still have light on. They can learn from Germany on the 800W standard plug-in system which is now widely implemented across the nation.

Singapore could generate more of its electricity if it really wanted. Wind and tidal generation with batteries would make things a lot easier.
