Are there civil service workers in the federal government assisting in this? I ask because a federal FEMA worker called me after Helene wanting to know my medical issues and wanting a copy of my drivers license. No one from FEMA ever showed up to inspect my roof and damage. I sent all required documents to Maryland. I received NO HELP FROM FEMA! STILL NEED A ROOF FROM 9/26/24!

This illustrates why the DOE needs to go away. They do not educate anybody. They exist to give loans and grants which are often not repaid. Moreover, the loans and grants prop up degree programs that could not otherwise survive on their own. That is, if somebody was spending their own money, they usually do not pay for such worthless degrees. Getting rid of the Department gets rid of their budget which gets rid of the fraudsters swindling that budget.
