Residents in Greater Benoni have taken to the streets in Boksburg North, going door to door to businesses and industrial areas. They are accusing owners of hiring undocumented immigrants instead of South Africans. The residents are also targeting what they describe as collapsing policing and rising crime. Demonstrators are demanding the removal of the Etwatwa Station Commander, action against corrupt officers, the closure of foreign-owned spaza shops, and the deportation of undocumented immigrants. Nomvuyo Ntanjana reports.
