The Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, (DSTI) Nomalungelo Gina, is set to officially launch the inaugural National Science Month at the Vaal University of Technology in Vanderbijlpark today.
This marks South Africa's first-ever month-long science engagement initiative, aimed at promoting public awareness and participation in science, technology and innovation.
National Science Month builds on the long-standing National Science Week programme, which has been a flagship initiative of the department since 2000.
