The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has heard further testimony into alleged interference and corruption within law enforcement. Yesterday, former Gauteng Traffic Police deputy chief Samuel Mashaba told the commission about tracking a large cocaine shipment linked to the Aeroton drug bust, raising concerns about how the operation was handled, and possible interference by senior officials.
He is expected to continue with his testimony today as the commission probes deeper into alleged criminal networks within law enforcement agencies. For more on this, we cross live to SABC News reporter Canny Maphanga at the Brigitte Mabandla Justice College in Pretoria, Gauteng.
