The Nelson Mandela Bay Metro is bordering on disaster once again as dam levels continue to decline.
The metro's combined usable water in its five main supply dams - Impofu, Churchill, Kouga, Loerie, and Groendal - has fallen below 30%.
This, combined with ageing infrastructure and ongoing vandalism, is placing major strain on the water supply.
The city could be at risk of reverting back to its 2023 status, with strict water restrictions likely to be implemented.
