Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen has announced the arrival of an additional 3.5 million doses of Foot-and-Mouth disease vaccine from Argentina.
The delivery brings the country's total available stockpile to 13.5 million doses.
The Minister says the Biogénesis Bagó jabs will speed up containment efforts in high-risk areas.
He insists the government's target remains unchanged despite a recent High Court ruling that stripped the state of its exclusive control over the buying and administering of the vaccines.
Steenhuisen says his department aims to vaccinate 80 percent of the national cattle herd by December.
