The Conference of the Left has concluded in Boksburg where for three days, it brought together left-wing political parties, trade unions, civic movements, community organisations, intellectuals, solidarity groups, and activist formations.
Organisers say the purpose of the conference was to strengthen coordination among South Africa’s left and “popular” forces, and to build a common platform for political education, campaigns, and organised action.
For some analysis on the outcomes, we are joined by Political Activist and Researcher and Education Officer at the International Labour, Research and Information Group, Dr Dale McKinley.
