James Talarico worked to find common ground with one Texas voter who said she votes exclusively on the issue of abortion.
Talarico said that while he supports some abortion access, he said he wants to see fewer unplanned pregnancies and abortions overall, and that the issue should be viewed instead as a "public policy problem."

Ronald Reagan was for abortion rights, until…….. some campaign advisor told him that letting his hypocrisy shine through would get him a bunch of Bible thumpers to vote for him.
As any proper “conservative” would do, he because the opposite of what he had said before.

To my fellow Catholics, bring that energy to war please. Our military destroyed a school in Iran. Can't have it both ways where you force our values down everyone's throat, if you can't say no to war with the same energy.

There’s no way he just said “and the Bible is quiet on the issue of abortion” 😂

Yet these women are the ones on birth control because they can't afford to have a baby because of their choice in government. And voting against paid family leave, no health insurance, and no school lunches. Pro life party with no family

Imagine explaining to this Catholic that the poor are the most vulnerable among us. They wouldn’t have it or support those folks in their own communities.

Pro life? Great, then you agree that the DRASTIC rise in fetal and maternal deaths as a direct result of the abortion bans are BAD. Next.

Catholics are as hypocritical as the evangelical Christians. They’re against abortion but they’re also both against helping the unwanted children after they’re born.

People like that lady who are pro-life are the first to oppose any financial assistance or help as soon as that baby is birthed successfully… They’ll be amongst the first to destroy programs offering food and nutrition assistance… Headstart and other programs that support new families.. for many pro lifers as soon as the baby is born you are entirely and completely on your own… That’s not a Christian… That’s a radical religious nut

I’d probably say something like Pro-life wasn’t a thing until Ronald Regan’s administration used it to mobilize the evangelical vote to the republicans.

Prior to that, abortion was a nonissue in any catholic or Christian church. Basically, it’s a fake issue.

James Talarico is right. When those billionaires are buying politicians to pass laws that benefit them and not the public. When they are buying up media conglomerates because they have lobbied politicians not to regulate the industry that is supposed to tell the truth to the public, not manipulate the narrative so that the stock markets can react in their favour as we see happen almost every week with the Trump administration. Manipulating the media to become a propaganda machine.

Why did Trump pass tax cuts to benefit billionaires and not the majority of American citizens? Why impose tariffs on his so-called enemies who do not abide by the rules of his billionaire friends instead of those that help reduce cost?

Have you ever lived in Europe? There are billionaires and some of the wealthiest people but there are also laws that ensure they pay their fair share in taxes and that they do not have the power to buy politicians. It's actually illegal with serious jail time. The wealthiest also pay their fair share in taxes.

That's what James is advocating. Everyone gets excellent health care and public schools are not defunded simply because billionaires want for-profit schools and for-profit prisons to make more money and cripple the criminal justice system rather than reform it.

No one is punishing success but success that seeks to control and oppress its citizens who in the first place led to their success is not really success. Wake up! Success at all costs is never true success. Success that gives way to the success of others is true success, not the one that monopolizes success for the few.

Thank you James Talarico for calling out the truth. The biggest problem with America is that billionaires are buying elections and manipulating the system to benefit them and the government becomes answerable to the few instead of the many that elected them. That is corruption.

We love you James for your spiritually sound and morally conscious leadership ❤️
