Ukraine and Russia agree on local ceasefire in Oleshky to allow for humanitarian aid

Russia kills one and injures eight in strikes on Kyiv and Kramatorsk. Hours later, Russia and Ukraine agree a local ceasefire in the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky, where 2,000 residents have no access to food or water.

The temporary truce, brokered by US First Lady Melania Trump, runs from Monday night to Thursday. Meanwhile, a fresh round of trilateral Russia-Ukraine-US talks is set for Abu Dhabi in November. Zelenskyy says he wanted them in October. Russia found reasons to delay.
