I don’t think a lot of people realize that sometimes it takes a little bit of time to realize you’ve been assaulted. Most women are in shock, and blame themselves. Then when you start talking to your friends, they start looking at you like hey, you didn’t give permission for that. That’s assault! And then you start realizing, yeah, that’s never what I wanted or asked for. Just because she gave permission for intimacy earlier, doesn’t mean that she gave permission for what happened later on. It’s a very delicate rope to walk. She wanted her business to thrive and was letting him kind of get away with it until she realized what really happened.
