In a democracy, everyone has the fundamental right to protest peacefully. However, when a protest escalates into vandalism, violence, and the deliberate destruction of public and private property, the law must be enforced firmly and without hesitation. Every individual involved in such criminal acts should be identified, investigated, and held accountable under the law. Where individuals are non-citizens (temp or permanent) or are illegally present in the country, deportation following the completion of their sentences should be exercised with maximum laws. The authorities have a responsibility to restore order and protect the public, and they must not hesitate to use the proportionate measures necessary (even if it is excessive) to contain violent mobs. The right to protest must never become a license to destroy a city, endanger lives, or undermine the rule of law. Democracy guarantees the right to protest; it does not grant the right to riot, vandalize, loot or destroy. Enough said.

The problem with the violence is that it turns people against the cause. If you want more people on your side then use only peaceful protest. <br><br>More people have turned against these protestors now and that hurts the cause that started this in the first place
