Defensive counter air missions. Houthis do not have an airforce. What defensive counter air mission are RAF going to do there ? Shooting missiles down with fighter jets? UK wants to join the battle. Until now US and Europe had played a careful game arguing that Europe is not involved in Iran strikes while US was disengaging from Ukraine. All fake of course, both were involved in both. Now UK has decided it wants in the war. This of course gives Putin an opening to strike UK using Iran/ Houthis as proxy and a route for UK into the war. The attempt as Alistair Crooke explained, is to attempt to defeat in detail. Trying to draw Iran and Russia into a conflict prior to the Chinese attack on Taiwan. And to try to overwhelm them with conventional strikes to force a surrender. Possibility of tactical nukes on Iran, though that opens up nuclear strikes on Ukraine, Taiwan, SKorea and Japan. But if strikes happen on UK, especially by Houthis with Russian supplied missiles , that will be pretty much disastrous economically. Well our PM is laser focussed on people playing TikTok on buses, so I guess it's alright then.
