Churchill did not want a peace agreement for the status quo during the Battle of Britain. Nor did Poland in 1939, or its Resistance Movement. I was born in 1942, and saw on TV the 1956 Hungary revolt, and 1968 Czech Spring crushed by Stalin, and the US did not help. Now both Europe and US are doing the same thing in Ukraine, dribbling in supplies but letting Ukraine cities and culture be destroyed and its army exhausted and children stolen. (Canada should do more).
