Apologies aren't weakness if the boss is consistently not fouling up.

As a business owner, I'm always trying to think 3 steps ahead. Often times my subordinates, my colleagues, don't share my vision, and sometimes my vision is wrong. Then I'll tell them I goofed, I made a mistake, they were right and I was wrong. Actually, I don't say I'm sorry, I just say I was wrong and you're right so let's move on. It's all about the customer, the client & providing exceptional customer service. Their idea was better than my idea so I acknowledged it. The only time I would apologize and say "I'm sorry" is if I personally offended someone inadvertently. But in business; Just fall on your sword and move on.

No bosses will. They want to maintain the upper hand. They feel speaking harshly and unfairly is some entitlement of management. But they don't know if they manage employees relationally is also a very effective management technique. I've done my hardest and best work for one boss in my past. ONE.
