Siyanda "Eddie" Myeza, one of the seven men standing trial for the murders of rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and businessman Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane, has denied being in possession of a firearm when he was arrested in April 2023.
Myeza's attorney challenged the testimony of a state witness, a police officer who led the arrest team.
The firearm in question, allegedly recovered during the arrest, has been linked through ballistic evidence to the murders of Forbes and Motsoane, as well as the 2022 murder of taxi boss Gift Khanyile in Mayville.
SABC News reporter Taliesha Naidoo wraps up the day's court proceedings in this report.
