Protesters were heard slamming on bus windows following their detention during an anti-government demonstration called by The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in Delhi.
The CJP shared a video on social media showing its founder Abhijeet Dipke being detained with other leaders shortly after landing in the capital.
The movement started in May after India's Chief Justice likened some unemployed young people to "cockroaches".
Delhi police denied permission for the demonstration to take place, with tens of thousands of security personnel deployed and roads barricaded.
The CJP - and opposition parties - accuse Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of favouring Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party in the way the electoral rolls are being updated.
The Election Commission and the BJP have denied this.

1:53 wtf , if they is a clear guidelines that you need to give a 10 day notice for protest permission what's the point of telling it 3 days prior it all clear that they want to create anarchy in the name of protest , last time the Indian government screwed it big time this time they have been proactive
Well done to the police, and BBC the media of 51st State will be better off if instead of covering it 1 quid nonsense they show how djt sold UK and EU to Russia under new fuel deal
This is completely unlawful detention. Whereabouts of all the protesters and activists are not known yet. Hopefully the Judiciary will act and prove its existence.
Our beloved Delhi is in state of undeclared emergency. Prime minister Modi and his goon Home minister who in past has been accused of serious crimes are doing this to protect their power by compromising democracy of the country. I urge the international media to help us please ❤❤
Such zealous "democracy's in danger' narrative framing from another state run Western mouthpiece. Same old regime change toolkit. If only BBCs coverage was this persistant in the Rotherham grooming cases?

https://youtube.com/shorts/wqjeNJEfDSI?is=LroX1V5x2_cWH-do
Remember seeing a banner which said
M -Murder
O - Of
D - Democracy
I - In India

The TRUTH from the YOUTH
Hundred per cent 💯💯💯
After atrocities, torture and deprivation in the name of religion by BJP ruling group, all religions of India Indians are waking up regardless of India's educated, uneducated, middle class, lower class, educated, intelligent. Society students students public now the movement is struggling for democracy Against the autocratic rule of the gentlemanly headed Modiji government because it is a beast and not a good person. The one given by the savage BJP's ruling group protest movement against the Prime Minister saying 'public truth and justice' You have struggled, God is with you, all people irrespective of religion or caste, prayers are with you. God is with me, those who walk on the path of truth and justice have no fear, God is good to those who follow the path of truth and justice. People of whatever religion will love and appreciate them!
4.46 your correspondent deliberately omits details about the prohibitory orders in force.moreover three persons cant assemble they will be arrested police were announcing this through loud speakers. Cockroaches did not get prior permission to hold any demonstration.
BBC and its useless correspondents knew everything but since they are totally biased they will give one sided version
Congress Indira Gandhi threw the rotten corrupt BBC out of India once i think they should be thrown out again.
In India Indians do not have to seek permission to protest. Its Indians' constitutional right protest written in indian constitution .
Because this against present government. Modi government getting people swept and kept people away to protest.
Modi government won by cheating deleting voter 's name from voting list
So they can protest with a permit that takes about 10days to get approved but they do it on short notice without a permit to cause chaos...way to gather support
This is a really "on the scene " BBC news video in New Delhi . The anti-government demostration against the recently updated electoral rolls. There are many young people in the protests and many law enforcement agents keeping law and order .I hope that the indian justice sistem will do the job correctly ,one way or the other.
BISM ALLAH ARAHMAN ARAHIM

ALHAMODOU LILAH RAB ALAMIN

WHERE THE WORLDWIDE EARTH UNDER SKY IS GOING ? FEW PEOPLES ENJOY THE COUNTRY WEALTH AND THE POBLAITON IS SUFERING ))
