This is getting complicated. If this doctor's concerns had been listened to, she would have died. He was helping her to die, and him being ignored saved her life, which is supposed to literally be a doctor's job.
The state should not be able to execute someone unless that someone had caused global harm. The state having that much power is trampling on the rights given to people at birth. In America though the constitution allows for priosioners to be slaves. That is wrong and leads to MORE crime and violence. Rights are not given to you because you do the right things. They are given to you at birth and can not be taken away. She should be given life in prison if she can't be around other people. Killing for an eye for an eye leaves the world blind. A life for a life is not acceptable. Just to note, I am a victim of a crime that some believe my abuser should be killed for. I do not believe in it because what has made me find more peace is finding a way to create it in myself, not some revenge fantasy.
