Zunyi Meeting: Break with dogmatism

In 1934, after failing to repel the Kuomintang-led nationalist army's fifth encirclement campaign, the main force of the Central Red Army led by the Communist Party of China (CPC) withdrew from its base to begin the Long March. With its survival at stake, the CPC leadership convened a meeting in Zunyi in January 1935 to correct military and organizational errors.
