Thousands of prisoners set to be released early from UK jails under new scheme. #Prison #BBCNews
Stop trying to police & criminalise drug's & those who take them.<br>This is a health issue , what 8s needed is control , from source to consumer , fair trade for farmer's & producers, and education , quality control, and intervention,,,,,,,we could actually create huge employment , make money instead of watching it disapear into a black hole , and change the social stigma of addiction,,,,,,,The Drugs laws would only evrr make sense if they were enforceable, and would only stop seeming ludicrous if Alchohol was up there with the other class 'A' drugs,,,,,,,otherwise it's a farce and undermines the rule of law with it's hypocrisy. And let's leave prisons for criminals 🙏😎❤☮
Freeing out prison space implies crowded streets with undisciplined, violent people.albeit, many of these sentences should include public service orders. This way UK incarceral system will be able to operate normally,I guess 🙄
Instead of building new prisons, why don’t we employ more policeman instead of cutting their numbers visible policing is shown to reduce crime. New York is a prime example every corner you turn there’s a policeman so bad people are less likely to commit crimes simple math.
I find this sinister. The sort of prisoners being released are recidivists i.e. they have been convicted many times and all other avenues have been tried. So they will immediately start reoffending. Protected groups are not to be jailed says the MOJ guidelines. The only people who will be left in prisons will be murderers and political prisoners. Hence the total lack of effort to build and staff more jails. Do anything you want to anyone you want; it's ok now. Just don't criticise the regime.

If that was Laila Cunningham, Vicki Young wasn't aware of the number of businesses have closed down or are closing down because of Brexit, boat crossings risen since Brexit, unemployment since Brexit or production.
What about lads still waiting to get their IPP's done away with. Too many have lost their lives to this craziness. Even David Blunkett said it was a bad idea.
How is it that building a new prison is never mentioned in this debate? There are dozens of redundant military camps surrounded by barbed wire, where they could put low level prisoners.
