I've never heard of someone in prison mistakenly but I have heard of lots of criminals not banged up for crimes including rape and paedophilia. If they are getting drugs in prison it turns the whole system into a joke. Yes it needs to be overhauled but not sure letting them go is the way to go.

Keir Starmer two years ago said the same thing regarding prisons at or near capacity. So the logical answer was to build more prisons, but we know this won’t happen instead the government will keep peddling the same argument. Quite frankly it’s not good enough. Statically I wonder how many of the prisoners gained entry to our shores by illegal means who should then be deported, but that’s unlikely to happen is it.
