Russia’s fuel crisis is apparently just the beginning.
No fuel? Check. More expensive food? Check. Higher utility bills and new taxes? Coming right up. Chicken, eggs, and bread are already getting more expensive, while rising costs threaten to make the rest of the grocery list even more painful. And just when Russians thought the shopping bill was enough, the Kremlin still needs more money for the war – and more soldiers to fight in it. New recruitment methods and fresh mobilization rumors are adding another little surprise to the autumn menu. So far, Russia’s “special price adjustment operation” seems to be going perfectly: less fuel, more expensive food, higher bills, and more ways to take money from your wallet.
Join Jonasz Rewiński in the new episode of Break The Fake to find out more about Russia’s growing cost-of-living crisis and how the Kremlin is making sure ordinary Russians keep paying the bill.
