So this isn’t about AI but engagement algorithms that have been around for years…. Not to say that AI hasn’t accelerated it, just a bit underwhelming.<br><br>Edit: glad to hear about the data behind it. Some of these videos present ideas, this was a presentation of research.
AI????? Really? How about all the gangs. The people that claim they are helping but are not. This lady is dum. I think people like her are more dangerous. What does she mean AI? Fronteir models? Local? What pipelines? WHat tools? No we talk about ice cream. Please stop letting these chalotons up here for grant money.

AI isn't making us all the same, it's making what we all know more equal. No longer will you be defined by what you know, but rather what you do.<br><br>That's not necessarily a bad thing.
Why would I ask anyone to help me make a choice on which flavor"etc"AI or whatever will never decide how I think. For goodness sakes, I can think for myself By the way I only desire vanilla 😀

The melding of persona started with the invention of language, the more humans communicate with each other the more we'll see we're all the same. We can only be so different and when communicating online we need to flatten ourselves to be understood or be interesting enough to be ourselves and place the responsibility of understanding on others...But for the common person such a burden is poor practice and fairly antisocial. <br><br>AI will add to the flattening because it's a universal voice every user will have a shared experience with.<br><br>Want people to be more unique? Meet in person, build community, openly show hate, openly like weird stuff, act in a manner others will be confused by, dislike, feel uncomfortable around, be yourself, that's what true culture is. <br><br>What we must be online and in public however? We must be similar because there are similar demands placed on us all in these days where human rights, common manners and the struggles of others are so easy to learn about...Making kindness a matter of choice and refusal to take part in common beliefs a notable personal flaw.

great talk and i agree with quite a few things but instead of having ai choose for us why not ask a real person, or just wander into the unknown all alone? this way you may make some bad choices but atleast the choice will be yours

Powerful AIs are going to wreak havoc on humanity in the ensuing decades, and people are still living in their own capsules and personal echo chambers.
