Pope Leo is a step in the right direction. It’s far past time to modernize the Catholic Church. If Leo allows women and all people to be equal members in the church and women into the priesthood, I will come back. The core message has always been a good one. It’s what men have imposed on the Church that’s been the problem. We are all equal in God’s eyes.

In the postmodern world religion has become an ethnic identification. People are seeking baptism and church solidarity to define their culture and a signal to non-Christian faiths who they are in the multicultural spectrum.

Remember that Christianity is over 2,000 years old and it has been that long since the Church began and not even Jesus knew when the end was coming and his return. Israels king David to Jesus was something like 14 generations of their shared family line. The Pope might as well become God? Whereas if the Bible were the doctrinal authority as it is in Protestant Christianity, then it is our own fault.

Yeah idk. I became non-denominational like near the end of 2025. Religions are the usual common causes for war, if not religion would still find it's way as a catalyst. With India-Pakistan, Israel-Palestine (more or less the bigger country wipping out general civilians of the smaller country), UK-Ireland, West-East schisms, etc. it's so gruelling. I've been to Medjugorje, but I felt more in sync as a Slav in another brotherly country as opposed to any ritual connection. I'm agnostic, as much as people hate that term, it's not my fault that my consciousness says be careful of the big guy up & beyond space. Either, I feel like a pastor programme as a hobby. After all, I think it's good to look for a community & an afterlife with whom you could spend with. It's just that not everything has to be error, ranging from permissible foods or marriage, etc. Religion should be kept inside the head. Houses of worship are cool, but moreover as landmarks. I'd personal rather perform rites door to door in other people's houses.

Anthropocentric religions, like Catholicism, inherently prioritize human interests over all other life, driving the exploitation of non-human beings and the planet.

Sad to see this. I guess that like America, France's education system is also failing and people are now more uneducated there too.

This is encouraging for an otherwise world where the church is suppossedly in "decline". My parish St. Jude Donholm baptised 150 in 2025 and 285 in 2026. Seems to be the trend over here in Kenya
