CNN, MS NOW and Politico are taking the Trump administration to court after being barred from covering White House events. The news organizations argue the move violates constitutional protections for a free press. The White House says the outlets are not banned from reporting, only from receiving privileged access. What will the courts decide?

Singling out and banning reporters simply because he disagrees with them is WAY beneath the office of the President. When the leader of the country shuts down questions instead of answering them, it’s not a show of strength — it’s a refusal to face scrutiny with open-minded courage.

<br>For a man in his eighties, President Trump’s tactic of forcibly tuning out criticism — literally covering his ears and humming aloud to avoid any and all uncomfortable facts — comes off as evasively childish and weak rather than authoritative. What he's doing is a cowardly move that erodes public trust and undermines the free press we all rely on in one form or another to keep things as open and honest as possible -- no matter what our personal opinions or slants are.

All B.S. Any news outlet can be banned or not allowed. That has ALWAYS been the case. SO MORE USELESS REPORTING.

I despise Donald Trump but I am fine with him punishing CNN because it is a garbage news organization. They have relied on getting free content from the White House as their business model for around 30 years. Make him do some actual investigative reporting. Hopefully, this will make CNN better at doing the job they're supposed to do rather than the job they want to do. If they did some real investigative journalism that'll be worse for Donald Trump than playing this access game they've been doing. A plague on both their houses, I hope they destroy each other.
