USA got exactly what it wanted, Trump never actually wanted to take Greenland, it's called aim huge and "settle" for what you really want - here's what USA got that is NEW:
1. EXPANDED military presence that is NOW PERMANENT
2. Sensitive Investments need explicit U.S. approval
3. All adversaries banned from making bases or having a presence through businesses or investment, CHINA and RUSSIA now BANNED
4. The new framework is EXPLICITLY trilateral between Denmark Greenland and USA not NATO

And that’s just a few points

erm? How did you do a whole interview on the US/Denmark/Greenland agreement without asking about Greenland's natural resources? Everyone knows that the USA's main motive is to steal resources. Did Denmark and Greenland turn them over, as Venezuela's "interim" puppet did? Have US corporations been given the right to destroy the Greenlandic environment and turn over its riches to American oligarchs?

Hopefully some of this will be curtailed in midterms. And after the next president will undoubtedly dissolve the great ones damage will be undone.

Ironically, China is currently Greenland's 2nd largest trading partner (after Denmark) ... Greenland conducts almost 12x as much trade with China as it does with the US.
The head of NATO's Arctic Command has stated that he has never seen a Russian or Chinese military ship enter into Greenland's waters.
No matter what's written in this agreement, Denmark, Greenland and the EU would be nuts to sign anything with the US. Let the existing 1951 Agreement stand as is.

here's whats new; US has veto rights over "adversarial development" in Denmark, rights are "bulletproof" from any political changes in Denmark or Greenland, case-by-case approval from Denmark or Greenland for US build out no longer needed. Some will say it's the same, but they haven't compared the agreements....it's significant.
