This horse has been out of the barn for at least a decade.

I remember taking a course in natural language processing decades ago in college. Decades ago, as a linguistics major. It was actually possible to construct a degree program in linguistics with a concentration in natural language processing. This was many many decades ago.

The term artificial intelligence is something of a misnomer. What this programming does is engaging predictive word for word syntactical structuring of rhetoric. And how it derives those predictions is by scraping information from incalculable amounts of sources across the virtual universe. These systems don't think... They simply put together test runs of various approaches to a problem until they chance upon the right combination of structure. For what they cannot do and what they will never be able to do is invent structure from nothing. That is what will always have mechanized processes depart from human capacity...

Humans for better or worse are capable of being more than the sum of their parts. Mechanized systems can never evolve to be more than the parts available to access no matter how vast the source of parts there may be at their disposal.

It appears that AI technology has advanced to the point where its superintelligent tasks have outsmarted humans, causing them to lose complete control over it. This is probably not the case yet, but it will happen soon, so quick action must be taken to limit and prevent AI from going wild and causing major issues for humans.😎

$42 trillion in debt.
The US national debt is reaching dizzying record levels. And there is no end in sight to the new debt. The president still exudes optimism and wants to improve his golf game. Thank you Donald for your ugly work for us. Thank you!
