Russia should be in the Olympics as should any country that wants to compete. The Ancient Greeks understood this.

Russia has always used sport as a means to undermine western sanctions. This is therefore no surprise.
Why would anyone be surprised? Coventry is Zimbabwean. Zimbabwe is closely tied politically and economically to Putin. Since Zimbabwe is under Western sanctions they have to depend on Russian support and allies. Coventry was elected in early 2025 and immediately starting making moves to reesestablish Russia back into the Olympics. I don't know if the IOC was either in a hurry to make history by electing a female president or if the corruption in the IOC is deep that Putin was able to buy their way back in by bribing IOC voting members. But this should have been foreseeable.
Since israel can participate so can russia why double standards😂😂😂

So we should ban some countries and leave others even though they are doing the exact same thing
