The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has withdrawn fraud and corruption charges against Crime Intelligence Head, Lieutenant-General Dumisani Khumalo, and six co-accused.
This follows revelations at the Madlanga Commission, that the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) had allegedly acted improperly in instituting the charges.
National Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Andy Mothibi, decided to withdraw the charges against all seven accused.
